Interleukin 7 (IL-7) is a member of the type I cytokine family that is critical for T and B cell development and survival. It is produced by non-hematopoietic cells in the thymus, lymphoid organs, and by bone marrow stromal cells (Lundström et al.). IL-7 binds to a receptor (IL-7R) composed of common gamma chain and IL-7Ra (CD127) and signals through the JAK/STAT and PI3K pathways. IL-7 regulates the survival of naïve and memory CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, γδ T cells, NK T cells, innate lymphoid cells, and regulatory T cells (Carrette & Surh). Although a deficiency in IL-7R still permits the generation of normal numbers of peripheral B cells in humans, stimulation of human B cell precursors with IL-7 could promote STAT5-dependent proliferation and survival in vitro (Clark et al.; Corfe & Paige). This product is animal component-free.

PolyB Selective Supplement is a lyophilized antibiotic supplement that adds polymyxin B selectivity to base media for the recovery of target organisms such as Bacillus cereus. Each vial, sufficient for 500 to 1000 ml of medium, supplies polymyxin B sulphate, which suppresses competing Gram-negative flora so the organisms of interest stand out. Rehydrate with sterile distilled water and add to molten Bacillus Cereus Agar Base or a comparable medium. Store at 2 to 8 C. Packaged as 5 vials.

HyStem-HP contains thiolated hyaluronic acid, heparin and gelatin for easy 3D hydrogels. HyStem-HP version 2.0 provides the same cellular environment as HyStem-HP Version 1.0. HyStem V2.0 kit components will now be reconstituted with a buffered 1X PBS. The resulting components will also result in a pH neutral isotonic salt hydrogel. The ending pH, osmo, and rheological properties are the same from Version 1.0 to Version 2.0. HyStem-HP hydrogel is fully chemically-defined and is ideal for cell applications whereby the slow, continuous release of growth factors is crucial to re-creating a desired microenvironment. The HyStem-HP Hydrogel Kit contains a combination of thiol-modified hyaluronan and a thiol-modified heparin (Heprasil), thiol-modified denatured collagen (Gelin-S), and thiolreactive crosslinker, PEGDA (Extralink). The immobilized heparin in the HyStem-HP hydrogel mimics the heparin sulfate proteoglycans normally present in the extracellular matrix.

HyStem-C contains thiolated hyaluronic acid & gelatin for easy 3D cell culture. HyStem-C version 2.0 is reconstituted with a buffered 1X PBS. The resulting components will also result in a pH neutral isotonic salt hydrogel. The ending pH, osmo, and rheological properties are the same from Version 1.0 to Version 2.0. HyStem-C hydrogels provide an excellent starting point for optimizing the matrix for cell culture. HyStem-C is fully chemically-defined and based on three biocompatible components: thiol-modified hyaluronan (Glycosil), thiol-reactive crosslinker, PEGDA (Extralink), and thiol-modified denatured collagen (Gelin-S). Gelin-S provides basic cell-attachment sites for a wide variety of primary cells and cell lines and is therefore recommended as an ideal substrate for adherent cell types and for cell culture optimization. In some cases, HyStem-C hydrogels can be further enhanced by the addition of ECM proteins to match native signals.
